Stainless Steel Bayonet Heat Exchangers
Bayonet tank heaters offer an easy and efficient solution for keeping tanks at optimal temperatures. Our heavy-duty units are crafted from high caliber materials to withstand even the harshest of operating conditions, including elevated temperatures, corrosive substances, and frequent use.
Each heater is outfitted with a tubesheet, tube bundle, and bonnet with utility connections for easy removal and cleaning. Installation is simple as the heaters come ready to fit existing flanges and manways on your tank.
Finned or Bare Tubes
Our bayonet immersion heaters are available in two different designs – bare tube and helically wound finned versions. The latter design offers increased surface area, resulting in a more efficient heat transfer and greater thermal performance. These types of heaters can be used for a wide range of applications, including tank terminals, chemical processing, and oil and gas production.
Bayonet heaters can be customized with a variety of features, such as thermostats and thermowells. Thermostats protect from overheating by automatically shutting down the heater when it reaches a certain temperature, while thermowells allow for easy access to the heater’s interior for maintenance or inspection purposes.

These upgrades include cladding and insulation with stainless steel jackets, mounting saddle supports, adjustments to connections and baffles in liquid applications, modifications to meet the 3-A Sanitary Standard, passivation or electro-polishing of contact surfaces, material upgrades (such as Duplex, Hastelloy, 316L SS, AL6XN, and other alloys), multiple pass designs, and the addition of bonnets to improve tube side velocity in tight spaces.
